Ayrin Gharibpour is a fabricator, animator, and educator based in Los Angeles. Ayrin was born and raised in Iran and attended the Art University of Tehran, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. As she experienced the art world, she became fascinated by illustration and puppeteering. She has ten years of experience in illustrating children's books and performing as a puppeteer for theaters both in Tehran and Los Angeles, including Aran Marionette Theater, The Bob Baker Marionette Theater, the Skirball Cultural Center, and Redcat Theater. Throughout her career, Ayrin has taught various art subjects and collaborated on several theatrical and art projects with schools and institutes across the world. Since moving to Los Angeles, she transitioned to working in animation and stop-motion fabrication. Over the past four years, she has expanded her fabrication practice through needle felting, utilizing the medium to build expressive puppet characters, create intricate illustrative paintings, and craft fun jewelry pieces. Ayrin received the Aardman Academy’s industry training certificate in stop-motion animation in 2025 and has worked as a stage and props fabricator for Apartment D studio, Bix Pix, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, and CollegeHumor. Ayrin speaks English, Italian, and Farsi, and she remains passionate about telling stories, creating whimsical characters, and the magic of bringing things to life.
